General Raw Feeding Guide for Dogs
Complete raw feeding should be considered in conjunction with personalised advice from your dog's usual veterinarian.
- Adult dogs:
Feed approximately 2–3% of your dog’s body weight per day - Active / working dogs:
May need 3–5% of body weight - Puppies:
Feed approximately 5–8% of body weight per day, split into 2–3 meals
Example Daily Amounts
- 5kg dog → 100–150g per day
- 10kg dog → 200–300g per day
- 20kg dog → 400–600g per day
- 30kg dog → 600–900g per day
How to Feed
- Split into 1–2 meals daily (adults)
- Adjust amounts based on:
- Body condition (weight gain/loss)
- Activity level
- Age and metabolism
What to Feed
- A variety of protein sources: 3-4 per week
- Green tripe 2-3 times per week
- Meaty bones appropriately sized for your dog breed
- Organ meats
