General Raw Feeding Guide for Dogs

Complete raw feeding should be considered in conjunction with personalised advice from your dog's usual veterinarian. 

  • Adult dogs:
    Feed approximately 2–3% of your dog’s body weight per day
  • Active / working dogs:
    May need 3–5% of body weight
  • Puppies:
    Feed approximately 5–8% of body weight per day, split into 2–3 meals

Example Daily Amounts

  • 5kg dog → 100–150g per day
  • 10kg dog → 200–300g per day
  • 20kg dog → 400–600g per day
  • 30kg dog → 600–900g per day

How to Feed

  • Split into 1–2 meals daily (adults)
  • Adjust amounts based on:
    • Body condition (weight gain/loss)
    • Activity level
    • Age and metabolism

What to Feed

  • A variety of protein sources: 3-4 per week
  • Green tripe 2-3 times per week
  • Meaty bones appropriately sized for your dog breed
